Being from Minnesota we already know this is an amazing meteorite. But it actually has a pretty interesting story. It was plowed up by Bruce Lilienthal in 2011 on his farm. He thought it was somewhat unusual so he brought it to Calvin Alexander at the University of Minnesota. To Alexanders surprise the object was indeed an iron meteorite based on its Ni content and micro-structure, and the rest was Minnesota history.
