One of the most beautiful eucrite melts ever found, this massive slice is a freeze-frame from a near fatal collision between two asteroids that nearly destroyed asteroid 4 Vesta. The impact released enough energy to flash melt chunks of the two bodies together creating a beautiful breccia that has survived in space, unchanged, for 4.5 billion years.
