Arguably the most famous meteorite in the world, Willamette was found in 1902 by Ellis Hughes, it was a 15 1/2 ton meteorite, the largest ever found in the United States. Researches believe it landed in Canada/Montana but glaciers eventually moved it to Oregon. It is now on display at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
